Capture the current condition before it changes — and record the stages that will soon be hidden behind finishes.
Document the building before works begin
Once demolition starts, the previous condition of a building is gone. A capture immediately before works provides a dated record of what was there: finishes, fittings, service routes, structural arrangement and the condition of surfaces.
This matters for scope discussions, for variations, and for any later disagreement about what existed at handover of the site.
Capture at strip-out and first fix
The most valuable single moment to scan a renovation is after strip-out and before closing walls. Service runs, structural interventions and substrate conditions are all visible, and will not be again for the life of the building.

Coordination during the project
Between site visits, the model gives the project team a shared reference. For owners abroad it is often the only realistic way to follow progress with any precision.

- When should the first capture happen?
- As late as possible before works start, so the record reflects the building as handed over to the contractor.
- Can you scan an active building site?
- Yes, subject to site safety arrangements and reasonable access. Scanning is usually scheduled around trades.
- Do you provide progress reporting?
- We provide dated captures. Interpretation and reporting remain with the project team.
